How many letters in your name?

This was another FunShine Express activity.  Simply take a stack of 3x5 cards and write all the students names down, one on each card.  Since we don't have too many students we wrote our families names down.  Then you count the letters in each name and sort them by number.

Lachlan, for some reason, had no interest in doing anything for school this day.  I think it is the nice weather that's just too distracting.  The only part I could get him to do of this activity was to come up with all of our families names.  The rest I did while trying to talk it through with him.  However, I still think it is a brilliant idea that I wanted to share.

I am going to try the sorting by number part again with Lachlan at some point.  Cross your fingers.
