Lucy Jane

 This is one of the little people that I watch during the week.  Meet Lucy Jane.  She is so cute and it had been a while since I had taken any pictures. 

This is one of my favorites.  It was pretty cold out there so we probably only took pictures for 20 minutes or so.  I got my little crate out and sat it down and asked Lucy to have a seat.  She was not going to do that.  I think that's when I got this face.

So I just went with it and let her play and do her thing.
At one point I remembered her lovie, her special blanket.  I draped it over my head and hid behind it.  We play this game to get her to come to me for a diaper change.  She always finds it amusing.  It was a little tricky getting the perfect shot with her running at me and I had my 52 mm lens on.  No zoom to be able to quick adjust but I love it because you can set it to a really low aperture (depth of field) which gives you the blurry background.

 Lastly, here is Gena with her mini me. 

I am pretty happy with the final results.  I wish I could do some more things editing wise with the photos to make them pop a bit more.  All good things come to those who wait.  I am slowly saving money for a new editing program.  I am not good at setting a price for my services because I still feel like I am learning, but it makes me feel a little better to say "pay me what you can afford, I will put it towards ______________."  First an editing program.  Then maybe a few classes.
